{"id":12534,"date":"2021-07-07T13:31:05","date_gmt":"2021-07-07T13:31:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mcfade.co.uk\/blog\/?p=12534"},"modified":"2024-09-05T19:55:37","modified_gmt":"2024-09-05T19:55:37","slug":"drone-virtual-tours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mcfade.co.uk\/blog\/drone-virtual-tours\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Drone Virtual Tours&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An Accidental Find<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So I was looking for a way to host and view 360-degree photos taken with my DJI mini 2 drone found this virtual tours software which allows you to upload many 360-degree photographs and then navigate around from photo to photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How it&#8217;s done<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The way I created this was to let the drone do it&#8217;s 360\u00b0 thing on its own, which creates 26 raw files. I then import all the raw files into Lightroom and use that to merge all the raw files into one huge file. Doing it this way allows you to have more control over the brightness than you would do using JPEGs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have all the big files ready to rock I export them as and just upload them to this site, KLAPTY, within a new &#8220;Virtual Tour&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leeds University<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is an example around Leeds &#8211; including a couple of bonus shots I accidentally uploaded from Clarence Dock!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"max-width:100%;width:100%;height:600px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.klapty.com\/tour\/tunnel\/LYo0fKj5QA\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowvr=\"true\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; vr\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hot Spots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Along with most other virtual tours products, you can add hotspot anywhere on the photos which the viewer can click. This takes them to different parts of the tour. With the drone it&#8217;s quite handy to pick big iconic buildings which people are drawn to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or if you are from a tiny little village like the one I came from, you just pick a few spots like in this photo tour from Lancashire<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pendleton Lancashire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"max-width:100%;width:100%;height:600px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.klapty.com\/tour\/tunnel\/LYi0qOo2Sy\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowvr=\"true\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; vr\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Going Commercial<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luckily on my recent trip to Chesterfield I decided to take a few 360-degree photographs of the site we were doing, the main purpose was to capture some video and normal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcfade.co.uk\/blog\/drone-photos-of-newcastle-bridges-a-breathtaking-aerial-perspective\/\" title=\"Drone Photos of Newcastle Bridges: A Breathtaking Aerial Perspective\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aerial photos<\/a>, but by chance decided to get a few of these. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And hey presto. a few minutes of processing later and we can have for 360-degree views all linked together with a few hotspots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"max-width:100%;width: 100%; height: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.klapty.com\/tour\/tunnel\/L7L0VSDWXC\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" allowvr=\"true\" allow=\"accelerometer;  clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; vr\" ><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This tour technology can be added pretty quickly to any website by just copying and pasting some code into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcfade.co.uk\/blog\/transform-your-drone-footage-with-dehancer-a-step-by-step-guide-to-adding-cinematic-film-looks-in-davinci-resolve\/\" title=\"Transform Your Drone Footage with Dehancer: A Step-by-Step Guide to Adding Cinematic Film Looks in DaVinci Resolve\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"121\">blog<\/a> post or a web page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is all I did with the two tours above. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So if you are a business which has a big location which could look cool viewed from the sky, then I would definitely be interested in creating a few 360 panoramic and and creating a new tour for you.
