{"id":12829,"date":"2022-08-23T09:08:46","date_gmt":"2022-08-23T09:08:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mcfade.co.uk\/blog\/?p=12829"},"modified":"2023-07-02T16:30:38","modified_gmt":"2023-07-02T16:30:38","slug":"portrait-photography-workshop-2-leeds-uni","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mcfade.co.uk\/blog\/portrait-photography-workshop-2-leeds-uni","title":{"rendered":"Portrait Photography Workshop 2 &#8211; Leeds Uni"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Part 2 &#8211; Composition<\/h1>\n<p>The portrait class of 2022 met at Leeds university this time to learn about composition and portraits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We had some exercises in finding:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lines<\/li>\n<li>textures<\/li>\n<li>shapes<\/li>\n<li>colours<\/li>\n<li>angles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are all things to look out for when composing any photograph, can you use a line in the road or a colour of a road sign to add something to the photograph you are about to take? If so how and where do you put these things?<\/p>\n<p>So the first half of the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/yorkshirephotocourses.co.uk\/\" title=\"workshop\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">workshop<\/a> we spent finding lines and textures and things, and then to started to find great locations and practise placing the model and getting some great
