Boys and their toys.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few from a quick play in LIGHTROOM &#8211; you can see the autumn colours were strong, and we found some really dramatic view points. That&#8217;s at the cost of being knackered after a long walk of <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/yorkshirephotocourses.co.uk\/\"   title=\"course\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mcfade.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/swaledale-yorkshire-landscape-316.jpg\"\/><\/div>\n<p>At the end of the shoot the light died pretty fast and there was no sunset &#8211; so we found this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcfade.co.uk\/blog\/the-wonderful-waterfalls-of-wensleydale\/\" title=\"3 of The Wonderful Waterfalls of Wensleydale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">waterfall<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The sky and water were really bright compared to the surrounding&nbsp;leaves and rocks &#8211; I purposely shot the shot to keep detail in these bright areas, at the cost of underexposed &#8220;everything else&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In this tutorial we explain<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>how to recover hightlights and dark areas<\/li>\n<li>how to quickly and easily enhance areas with the RADIAL tool&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>why it&#8217;s worth underexposing in these situations<\/li>\n<li>why you should think VERY CAREFULLY before handing out your RAW
