Jaeda Portrait Shoot at Morley Golf Club
Direct answer: This gallery post covers a second portrait shoot with Jaeda, a 12-year-old model and competition diver, photographed at a ruined spot inside a Morley golf club on a bitter January day. Despite wind, cold, and rough weather, the conditions ended up adding proper drama to the final images rather than spoiling the shoot.
This was our second shoot together with this Morley-based star of the future. At just 12, Jaeda was already balancing modelling with competition diving, which is no small thing.
What Was This Morley Shoot Like?
We shot at a ruin inside a Morley golf club on a cold January day. It is an exposed bit of land, so everything that could make a location shoot awkward decided to turn up at once.
The lights were blowing around, Jaeda had a cold starting, and the whole thing had all the hallmarks of a disaster.
But we battled on and came away with some cracking images. The dark, rainy skies brought loads of drama, and the wind caught her scarf so it blew almost horizontally. In the end, nearly everything that looked negative at the start turned into a positive — apart from the cold, which was still a bit rubbish.
